Tunisia is a small country in North Africa, rich in both nature and history.
During our trip, we will first visit its southern, desert part. It is a varied region – here you can “touch” the classic sandy desert, see dry salt lakes, look at the Berber caves living in caves, reach palm oases located in the mountains.
In the central part of the country there is one of the holiest places of Islam, Kairuan, but also here in El-Jem you can see a great Amphitheatre from the time of the Roman Empire.
In the suburbs of Tunis, we will see the remains of the Phoenicians, Carthage, and the charming white-blue town of Sidi Bou Said.
We will end our journey along the Mediterranean coast on the island of Djerba, known for its beautiful beaches, but also for its interesting Jewish history.
