“The Three Musketeers” by Alexander Dumas, is a novel that has been in the canon of youth literature for years, has become a pretext for us to go back to childhood – where our playgrounds were not the hills of the 16th old century Paris, but a yard with several trees, sandbox and a rusty beater standing in front of the rubbish bin. There we got to know the meanings of words like friendship and courage, there we lived the most memorable moments.
In the story d’Artagnan is trying to become one of the king’s musketeers, there is praise for fun and fantasy, it is a story of loyalty to friends, a longing for times when there was nothing wrong with wearing shorts and running around the roofs of garages.
