Glenn Kurtz found in his parents’ home in Florida a three-minute film of their home village – Nasielska, shot in 1938.
Bianca Stiger turned those three minutes into a meditation on a community that no longer exists. She conducts an investigation into the characters appearing in the film, because this may be the only trace of their existence from the times when they could live in peace. As long as we watch and analyze these three minutes, the history of the community of Jews from Nasielsk can last. And the fascinating medium of film preserves memory and life in a unique way.
