Screenplay of Laurie Anderson as part of the Festival of Music and Film and Staves.
“The Heart of a Dog” was originally a short personal essay ordered by Franco-German TV Arte as part of a series where artists talk about their lives and work. At the time Laurie Anderson was in Paris, where she was presenting her solo performance, part of which was her terrier, Lolabelle. Responsible for the program – Luciano Rigolini, suggested: “Could you use any stories about your dog?” In recent decades of her career of music, theater, drawing, performance and a wide range of other arts, Anderson has been confronted with space representations that move the boundaries set by frames and screens.
