PIOTR WYSOCKI

Visual artist, film creator, producer. He was born on 8 March 1976 in Dębno Lubuskie. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2008). He studies in ateliers of Professor Jarosław Modzelewski at the Faculty of Painting and Professor Grzegorz Kowalski (Atelier of Audiovisual Space) at the Faculty of Sculpture. In 2008, he was one of the laureates of the Samsung Art Master competition. In the 9th Geppert Contest in 2009, he received the Award of the Mayor of Wrocław. That same year, he was nominated to the Polityka’s Passport Award. In 2011, he was among the seven persons nominated to the prestigious award “Views ? Deutsche Bank Foundation Award”. Fellow of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The artists often creates film portraits of excluded individuals and groups, in which he captures their psychological and social reality with great sensitivity.
He lives and works in Warsaw.
