The idea of the classes is based on a combination of music and Italian language classes, where children at pre-school and early school age can be best stimulated in the area of language competence through play and physical activity. The innovation of the proposed method of education consists in the simultaneous activation of several educational areas, resulting in increased development in each of the selected areas. During the classes, the children will realize simple choreographies to music and learn Italian vocabulary, mainly through singing and playing. The classes are designed to support overall cognitive development. Children in early music education achieve better results in the areas such as focus and memory, imagination, logics, spatial and abstract thinking, and mathematics, Furthermore, starting to learn a foreign language at an early age provides a basis for better acquisition of language competences in later stages of their life, especially in terms of phonetic and semantic structure. The combination of two educational areas – music and linguistics – which are so important, provides excellent support for the child’s development also in the perspective of further learning.
