Karolina Szaturska

She loves working with people. If she is not teaching English, you can surely find her on the mat. English teacher in a renowned language school in Warsaw, yoga teacher, artist, culture expert. This variety allows me to keep a fresh outlook on the way I teach my classes, to make them interesting and meet the participants? individual needs. She writes about yoga and creative activities on her English blog www.artyogasketchbook.com.
English and yoga are her greatest passions.

I am a certified yoga instructor with an RYT-200 diploma accredited by the US organisation Yoga Alliance. On the mat since 2010, I am currently teaching yoga at workshops, individual sessions, and regular classes at the Ursyn√≥w District Cultural Centre, and of course ? Kadr Culture Centre. I believe that yoga is a practice of being attentive to needs of one?s own body (spine, body tension, building muscle strength for health and good posture), as well as an opportunity to foster internal balance, which gives us energy to act and stay calm. During the classes, depending on the participants? needs, I propose them a more dynamic vinyasa style, the more peaceful hatha or the completely calming yin ? there are many possibilities and I believe that it is good to share them with the world so that everyone can discover which one fits him or her best.

I teach children, teenage, and adult groups in ProfiLingua language school. I also cooperated with Enjoy and Early Stage. I am constantly learning by taking professional development trainings and courses on teaching techniques, offered online by the best universities in the USA, Australia, and Great Britain. My knowledge of teaching English as a foreign language allows me to use a variety of techniques, which I adapt to the age category and individual abilities of my students.
I also work in English outside class, which I value a lot as it allows me to stay in touch with the culture of English-speaking countries and the current changes in the way the language is used.
