Common parts. Common parts

The “Common parts” project is an international meeting between young adults from the Kadr Culture Centre in Warsaw and Children and the Youth Center in Vilkaviskis, Lithuania. It is aimed at civic and intercultural education of youth, including the promotion of cooperation for the sake of the local community. The project is aimed at increasing teenager?s engagement and encourage them to shape the surrounding reality. The main subject is getting to know and developing good practices in common spaces management, which includes both multicultural areas as well as local neighbourhood activity spaces (both teenage and multi-generational).
As part of the project, we are going to organise workshops (inter-cultural, artistic and civic), discussions, performative activities, brainstorming sessions, meetings and presentations that will allow to develop the ?Alphabet of Common Parts?.
A set of values that are fundamental for responsible design of common space will serve as the point of departure for two main results of the project: exhibition organised and hosted by teenagers and a publication examining different aspects of functioning of local teenage activity spaces.
The project is going to be carried out between 8 July and 14 August 2018 in the Kadr CC Youth Space as well as public space.
