“I will never come back” is a story inspired by real events. Woman and her three children are trying to get across the border to meet woman?s daughter and start a new life.
“Birds sing in Kigali” – the first Polish film about refugees. The action begins in 1994, on the eve of genocide, and ends in 1997. The story of a Polish ornithologist who is researching the decline of the vulture population in Rwanda. When genocide begins, the woman – a bit by chance – saves a young Rwandan girl, daughter of a collaborator belonging to the Tutsi tribe. She takes her to Poland. After arrival, they are unable to enter the routine of everyday life. Both are trying to get up from what they’ve lived through. A tale of friendship, forgiveness and the power of nature.
After the show, a meeting with the filmmakers.
