An Arras of the year 2017

For the thirteenth time Culture Centre Kadr in Warsaw is pleased to invite you to participate in the “An Arras of the year 2017.”
The aim of the event is to popularize the unique field, which is the artistic weaving; our intention is to promote the tradition of this intricate art and the integration of its students. An arras requires from the author accuracy, precision, thoroughness and consequence, but it is also a wide space for the imagination and experiment. We hope that this time the works of artistic weaving will be characterize by both technical mastery and creative inventiveness.
The honorary patronage over the event was taken by the Mayor of the City District Mokotów in Warsaw ? Mr. Bogdan Olesiński.
The competition exhibition is opened to all those who deal with amateur weaving tapestries. Those interested in participating in the competition are asked to provide (at most) 2 tapestries with dimensions no larger than 150 cm x 150 cm and filled in an application form (download card). GOBELIN_ROKU_2017_karta_zgloszeniowa. Tapestries reported to an exhibition cannot be previously awarded or awarded in the competitions organized by Culture Centre Kadr. Please provide the tapestries and the application form to the Culture Centre Kadr on the 30th -31st of March 2017, from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Tapestries will be presented: from the 3rd to 12th of April 2017. from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
A closing ceremony of the exhibition, announcement of results and awards ceremony will be held at the Culture Centre Kadr on the 8th of April 2017. (Saturday) at. 4.00 pm.
